Contact lenses are made of many different types of plastic, but in general, they fall into two main groups: soft contact lenses and gas permeable contact lenses. Soft lenses have the advantage of being more comfortable, but they are not as effective in correcting some vision problems like high degrees of astigmatism. Gas permeable lenses offer optimal vision correction for many conditions.
“Many of our clients enjoy tinted contact lenses for their new look,” said Kandi Gullickson, who has worked for Carroll Eye Care for more than 10 years.
“I have progressed from hard lenses to gas permeable, to bifocals under Dr. [Helen] Hooper’s care,” said Karen Edrington, a client for more than 20 years. “Dr. Hooper is persistent and patient with each adjustment ,so that what I select is just right.”
